Originally the Mt. Daisen was famous for the place of practitioners of Shugen-do.
Now it changed to the resort area richly endowed with nature where you can enjoy in all seasons.

The "Daisen Kingdom" is an association in which local cities and towns on the foot of Mt. Daisen participate. Mt. Daisen is also called "Houki Fuji". Its shape greatly changes depending on angles. The Daisen Temple, which leaves trace of mountain worship, is located on its hillside where many people enjoy climbing or skiing. On its foot, the hotels, pensions, golf courses and ranches are scattered. The Yumigahama beach is spread on the Japan Sea side. There are Sakai Port which has the most landing of fish in Japan and Kaike hot spring.
